Dont believe what you hear........

I was sat with Sara on the sofa this weekend and we were basically watching TV and she was leaning on me. So i started to stroke her tummy....and I played with her belly button........

WOW was that wrong.......dont touch that it hurts!!!

after a few minutes of me saying it doesnt and she saying it does......we agreed it doesnt!!

it apaprently all stems from when she was a little girl her mum saying dont stick fingers/anything in it......

this got me thinking.........I wonder how much we actually run our lives by that our parents/grand parents told us, and I am sure I do it as much as the next person.

Its like if someone tells you there are a Billion stars......you tend to think hmmmm that sounds right.....but if anyone says " mind that new painted wall"

you can bet your ass you will touch it to see.......I know I do!

So I was thinking and I compiled a list of things that may/may not be true...but we all tend to live by them

1. You must wait at least an hour after eating before swimming!
2. Never cross over on the stairs (have no idea why)
3. Never eat cheese late in the evening
4. Always say hello to magpies

I mean the list goes on but its like we grew up in the middle ages!!
